An airflow animation from Professor Colombini in Genoa. Note how the flow over the
top surface of the airfoil reaches the trailing edge faster than the flow over the lower surface, forming a shear layer (or vortex
sheet) at the trailing edge.
Professor Colombini has several other animations available at wings
