HOT AND COLD GOBLETS
Andrew Davidhazy
Rochester Institute of Technology
This schlieren photograph shows that air coming in contact with a goblet filled
with warm water warms up and rises as a result of increase in temperature.
In the lower picture, the goblet was simply filled with coffee out of a freshly made pot of coffee from a coffeemaker for making
its surface hot (left), and with ice and water to make its surface cold (right).
