Technomic is international in its outlook, sales activities, and its efforts
to meet the needs of its authors, editors, and customers worldwide. Technomic
Publishing Aktiengesellschaft (AG) is located in Basel, Switzerland. In addition
to a traditional domestic sales effort, Technomic markets books, journals,
proceedings, seminars, conferences, and electronic products in Europe, Africa,
the Middle East, Australia, and Asia.
Technomic currently has over 600 active titles.
The company publishes approximately 100 new products each year and distributes
the titles of foreign or small publishers when their products complement those
of Technomic and help the company better meet the needs of its customers. The
company publishes eighteen peer-reviewed journals and is the leading publisher
in composite materials.
The early publications of Technomic were on
polymers, but today, the company publishes in four main areas: Environmental
Sciences, Food Science and Technology, Materials Science, and Pharmaceutical
Sciences.
