Advances in Biophysics is an international review journal published in hardback volumes. The individual reviews are critical and comprehensive, and are well-organized and well-documented contributions presenting a complete account of the particular author's work on a specific topic. Most reviews are written in response to invitations by the Editor.

 Biophysics is a broad field whose basic aim is the study of biological processes on the basis of the physical sciences. It demands close cooperation with related areas, such as physiology, biochemistry, molecular and cell biology. The articles included should prove both interesting and stimulating to biophysicists.
