The ICES Journal of Marine Science is an established, highly reputable
journal which has been given a new name and a new publisher and has been
expanded from three to six issues per volume. For 65 years, it was published as
the Journal du Conseil by the International Council for the Exploration
of the Sea (ICES). Under its new name, it will
continue to publish original papers within the broad field of marine and
fisheries science, with particular reference to living resources and
environmental processes. It will continue to be a primary source of high quality
papers on fishery-oriented marine science and a standard reference in the fields
of ecology, population studies, plankton research, and physical and chemical
oceanography. Short notes, book reviews, and letters to the Editor are welcomed.
Since 1995 the journal has also included special numbers devoted to the papers
presented at ICES International Symposia.
