Microsystem Technologies is intended to provide the rapid publication of important and timely results on science, engineering, technology and applications of microsystems and their components. It will stimulate new developments by bringing together and cross-linking the knowledge, experience and capabilities of specialists from many fields. Thus it will encourage new technologies to achieve the economical and ecologically sound production of reliable, high-performance microsystems.

Topics covered will include information and communications systems, as well as technologies for biomedical, chemical analysis, automotive, environmental and other applications. It is hoped that interdisciplinary cooperation between the systems industry, component manufacturers and research centers will be enhanced. Microsystem Technologies will offer an international forum for all scientists and engineers working on research and development in the rapidly growing field of microsystems.
