SPIE's monthly news publication. OE Reports articles cover new and evolving technologies, applications of optics and optoelectronics, and business and economic trends in the industry. OE Reports includes a regular section on technology transfer, offering insight into the many aspects of commercialization of advancing technology. The "Joint Venture Exchange," a free service, is a monthly listing of companies seeking partners in working relationships.

The newspaper also provides a forum of the technical interests and activities of SPIE's various working groups, and includes reports on worldwide technical activities from correspondents around the world. Published since 1984, OE Reports now has an international circulation of approximately 30,000 per issue, and is distributed without charge as a benefit of SPIE membership. The newspaper includes a Technical Product and Service Guide and one of the most widely read employment sections in the industry.
